Roma have faced a total of 18 muscular injuries to their players during the first four months of the season, leaving their staff and coach Eusebio Di Francesco on the defensive. The latest injuries to strike the giallorossi are to Edin Dzeko and Stephan El Shaarawy: both players will miss around 20 days, and are targeting the match with Juventus on 22 December to make a return. For Pellegrini, there is optimism ahead of the Inter match. De Rossi, who has been out since 28 October, does not yet have a return date in sight. Pastore and Perotti both have positive signs, and could be in the squad to face Inter, but are unlikely to start. Roma will move ahead with a makeshift attack made up of Schick, Zaniolo, Kluivert, and Under. The latter could have a rest, as Under's spot could be filled by Florenzi while Santon slides into the defense.
