Napoli have been looking for a new starting keeper ever since Pepe Reina agreed to terms with Milan, and now the partenopei are zeroing on specific targets. Alphonse Areola has been a profile that Carlo Ancelotti pushed for but PSG’s demand of €35 million with no bonuses was deemed too high, so the partenopei have raised their offer to Udinese for Alex Meret to €25 million plus €10 million in bonuses.
While Napoli wait for Udinese’s response they are also working with Meret’s agent to agree to terms with the players. The partenopei hope to close the deal quickly.
