After bolstering the midfield with the signing of Van de Beek from Ajax, Manchester United are looking to bring in some reinforcement for their attack. In this sense, the Red Devils have opened talks with former PSG striker Edinson Cavani, who is currently a free agent and was on the verge of joining Benfica a few weeks ago before the deal with the Portuguese club collapsed.
However, Cavani is not the only contender for United's striker position as the English giants have also made an inquiry with Real Madrid for Luka Jovic. United's board will make an attempt to sign either Cavani or Jovic during this final week of the transfer window.
