Milan was interested in the player for next June and Wolverhampton tried, without succeeding, to find an agreement with Dinamo Zagreb, but RB Leipzig was able to close on the operation in January. Dani Olmo is officially a new player for the German club, with the class of '98 Spaniard signing a contract until 2024.

But how much did the player cost Leipzig? The club spent 25 million euros plus another 5 million in bonus that'll be easily reachable, plus another 5 million that will be more difficult to reach. Dinamo Zagreb will also be left with a percentage on future resale ranging from 10 to 20% based on the amount at which the player will be resold in the future. The player's contract is for 4 and a half years at 2.5 million euros per season.

Bayern Munich made a last push for the player, offering 30% to Dinamo Zagreb (nearly 10 million euros more), but the Spanish talent already chose Leipzig and didn't go back on his word.
