Seville is a city divided by two souls: the rojiblanca one for Seville, the verdiblanca one for Betis. Betis Sevilla vice-president, Josè Miguel Lòpez Catalàn, has talked to Sky Sport: "Being a Betis fan is an important feeling, it's a popular and familiar club, in the stadium there is a sentence that sums up pretty well our history 'from parents to sons, from grandfathers to grandsons, a passion named Betis'. Our motto is to support the club even in the losses". A player who has growth and developed with Betis is Fabian Ruiz, currently at Napoli: "The history of his mother who used to do the cleaning in the club offices and brought her son to the academy until the first team is amazing. He's part of our pride, our cantera, alongside with Junior Firpo and Ceballos".
The club have welcomed several Italian players: Paolo Castellini, Vincenzo Rennella and Cristiano Piccini are the ones who have collected more appearances, but they could have been followed by others: "We've been very close to Locatelli and Sensi. We are always interested in players like Locatelli with a great quality and able to build the gameplay: there was Setien with us and Locatelli wasn't playing that much with Milan, we tried to sign him".
Other former Betis Sevilla players have had some experience in Serie A: "Pau Lopez is a great player, Roma was so convinced on him but sometimes there are too many pressures, but I'm sure he'll continue to develope. Joaquin is always very happy when he speaks with us about Italy and Florence".
