Simone Verdi, long a target for Napoli, is now back in play for a move to Italy's south: six months after the Bologna winger turned down a move, there are contract discussions again. Napoli and Bologna have agreed to a €25m fee, an important investment for Napoli under new coach Carlo Ancelotti. The decision now rests with Verdi, who will give his response when he returns from national team duty. While Verdi denied Napoli of the same move in January, now he is leaning to saying yes. Inter's pursuit now seems lagging behind Napoli's, they have postponed making a decision on Verdi until next week. Bologna has given an ultimatum to the player: either accept a move to Napoli or remain permanently at Bologna.
