Javi Martinez was among those watching the Bayern Munich-Barcelona Champions League match, and enjoyed the 8-2 victory for his German club. The Spanish midfielder, however, is now an objective for Fiorentina. Commisso's club has requested information from Bayern for Martinez, who's a former teammate of Frank Ribery, a relationship that may play an important role in the discussions. Martinez was born in 1988 and won the World Cup in 2010 and the Euro 2012 with Spain. In total, he's won 19 titles with Bayern, who acquired him in 2012 from Athletic Bilbao.
He played less than 1000 minutes this past season, mainly due to injury. Now, Fiorentina has the opportunity to tempt the player for an Italian adventure.
