The coaches’ carousel has begun in Italy, as well as in the rest of Europe.
Ancelotti at Napoli, Emery at Arsenal, and now Chelsea are pondering Antonio Conte’s future.
As reported by Sky Sport’s Francesco Modugno, tomorrow Maurizio Sarri’s entourage will head to London to meet the club, they want to understand what conditions Chelsea would offer the now former Napoli coach.
Sarri will not be present at this meeting, but will be expected in St. Petersburg in the coming days, provided that the Zenit hypothesis continues to remain standing for him.
Chelsea are now deciding whether or not to say goodbye to Conte; reflections are in progress - if they decide to let him go they will have to pay a penalty of around 20 million euros to the former Juventus manager.
In addition to Sarri, Chelsea are also working on other options: they already met with Luis Enrique while Laurent Blanc is another profile being considerd. The Pochettino route is more difficult: Tottenham aren’t likely to let him go to another Premier League club, they had agreed to let him leave for a foreign club like Bayern Munich and Real Madrid- opportunities that never materialized.
