As announced by Massimiliano Allegri in a press conference ( read his words HERE ) Juventus has reached an agreement with Leeds for the transfer of Weston McKennie to the Premier League.
McKennie to Leeds: the details
The two clubs have reached an agreement for a loan of 1.5 million with a buy option set at 35 million plus 5 of bonuses. However, the option could become an obligation upon the occurrence of certain conditions. The footballer will leave Turin tomorrow for medical examinations in England. The good collaboration and relationship between the two managers Giovanni Manna and Victor Orta was important to close the operation. Soon the agreement between the two clubs will be formalized and completed.
The will of Leeds is however to transform the transfer into a permanent deal at the end of the season or under the agreed conditions or renegotiating them.
For McKennie's official move to Leeds, only a few details of the player's contract with Leeds remain to be refined. It is thought that (if the deal becomes permanent) McKennie would sign for 5 years with the option to extend a further year. The English club is working with the player's agents.
