Sampdoria, Gaston Ramirez:"I didn't have continuity in England, they play very physical football"

After playing in England for five years, Gaston Ramirez returned to Italy to join Sampdoria. The Uruguayan attacking midfielder discussed his experience in the Premier League and his new team in an interview with Il Secolo XIX:"I don't know why I struggled in England, when I played I performed well. But I never had continuity. When you don't play it becomes hard to prove your worth. Then it's a very phsycal football and maybe I didn't find the right team. However I grew as a player and now I'm here to prove what I'm worth. Here at Sampdoria I'm very happy, better than I expected. I found a fantastic group that welcomed me very well.
