Last year was a Champions League final to forget for Mo Salah. The Egyptian star was injured and had to leave the match and his Liverpool went on to lose the final in Kiev against Real Madrid. This year, he will be looking to lift the trophy in Madrid. He spoke to Sky Sport about the upcoming match: "I am very excited, last year we lost and for this we want to redeem ourselves. It will be a very difficult match, we played Tottenham in the Premier League and arrived in front of them. However, this doesn't count. A final is a match on its own and we want to win it. Klopp? We haven't spoken of the details yet, but we know what our manager is worth. Luck counts, but we will hav e to work hard."

He also spoke about the departure of Daniele De Rossi from Roma. Salah was a teammate of De Rossi's in the Italian capital and had this to say: "He is a legend of the club and of Italian football, not just because he is a great friend of mine. I don't know what to say, I saw the game and the affection of the fans who saluted him. He made many sacrifices for his team, I would like to thank him, he is one of the best of which I have played with. Good luck for the future. A future for him in the Premier League? It would be beautiful, but I don't know if it's possible. It would be pleasing for me to play with him again, he is an optimal player."
