Negotiations continue between Juventus and Barcelona over a swap of Pjanic and Arthur. In recent hours new developments have emerged: Barcelona's Arthur has demonstrated a conditioned approval for his move to Italy. The answer is not a definitive 'yes' but Juve director Fabio Paratici continues to talk with the Brazilian.
Juventus' contract offer is for €5m per season after taxes, 2.5 times his current wages at Barcelona. Arthur was kept out of the club's last league match, a 0-0 draw to Sevilla, a possible sign to look to. A deal between the clubs on the respective player valuations needs to be reached by 30 June to make it into their balance sheets, otherwise a deal would be off. Pjanic is valued at €70m currently, Arthur at €80m, but Barcelona is asking for a larger sum than €10m to make up the difference. Arthur is both younger than Pjanic and makes less in salary than the Juventus mdfielder, both reasons make up Barcelona's claim. The blaugrana is already in agreement on wages with Pjanic.
