Bayern Munich are set to pursue a permanent deal for Maccabi Tel Aviv goalkeeper Daniel Peretz.
The 23-year-old Israeli shot-stopper, who also has a German passport, is understood to have become the number one target in Bayern’s hunt for a new keeper.
The Bavarian side have approached Maccabi Tel Aviv with a proposal of around €4.5 million.
Following Kepa Arrizabalaga’s move to Real Madrid, Gerónimo Rulli’s recent shoulder injury with Ajax, and Yassine Bounou’s imminent move to Al-Hilal, the plans at Bayern have altered.
The club are no longer looking for an ‘emergency number 1’ but instead are focused on providing competition to veteran keeper Sven Ulreich.
Peretz is said to fit this profile, who would also come at a relatively cheap price.
