Napoli has taken steps to renew the contracts of José Callejon and Dries Mertens. Both players have contracts expiring in June 2020, and the club has already begun talks with both players. While both players have yet to respond to the initial offers, both are central to the project at the club and president De Laurentiis appears ready to make a big economic offer. The proposal to Mertens is a three-year deal at €4m net per season plus bonuses. For Callejon, three years and the current salary earned by the Spainard. The representatives of both players will evaluate after Napoli has made the first step to renewing Callejon and Mertens.
