"My contract with Arsenal will not be renewed". Aaron Ramsey breaks the silence on the subject, as one of the Gunners' most representative players announces a departure that has been rumoured for quite some time. Change is destined to become reality for the 28-year-old midfielder as after the friendly match between Wales-Spain yesterday (1-4 the final result), his confirmation statement has opened important transfer scenarios ahead of next season.
"Everything was going well with Arsenal, - Ramsey stated about the renewal of his contract - at one point we even seemed close to finding an agreement. But now I do not think we can talk about it anymore". The causes for the lack of an agreement have not been declared, but the negative outcome of the negotiation is instead very clear, as well as the awareness of the player: "I will continue to do my best for the team until the end of the season, when we will separate".
242 games, 37 goals - the player's farewell to the Gunners cannot go unnoticed: "If I'm sorry? These are things that happen in football," replies Ramsey, whose regret for the separation still seems evident. "What can be done in these cases, is to stay focused on the team's goal, match after match, until the end. If I will stay until June? Of course."
