After his first experience in the Serie A three seasons ago with Milan, Spanish winger Gerard Deulofeu has returned to Italian football, joining Udinese from Watford. The Barcelona youth product, who will face the Rossoneri in the Friulani upcoming Serie A fixture, told La Gazzetta dello Sport that a Milan return was an option during the last summer transfer window.
"It was an option, as it was Napoli and other big clubs. Then I made the decision to join Udinese because I need to get game time to return at my best. I live for football and I want to play. I don't like being on the bench, I am not happy when I am not playing. Inconsistency held me back in the past. I was not consistent, but now I am more mature: I am focused on this moment in order to build the future", Deulofeu said.
"I am looking forward to face Milan - the Spaniard added - they are doing very well with Ibrahimovic. But I believe that if we increase the intensity of our game we can get a win, we need the points"
