The relationship between PSG and Verratti may have drastically changed in the space of a few months. Previously, the possibility of the Italian midfielder leaving the French side wasn’t even considered. Now, it is his agent Donato Di Campli that opens up that possibility. He spoke to La Gazzetta dello Sport about this:
“His future with PSG is complicated, it goes beyond a lucrative contract that ends in 2021. He wants to win, and with how PSG is currently, they aren’t set up to do so. He’s been in Paris for 5 years and its time to think over some things: To earn a lot without winning, or to earn and become a champion? Money isn’t an issue, anyone would pay him a lot. If he were to leave PSG, it would be for a top European club. Italy? There are top clubs there, but I have my doubts that it’ll be his next destination”.
