Gabigol will leave Santos for the second time. The forward, under contract with Inter, will get back to Milano after his loan ends: it will be up to Inter to decide the player's future, after he's won the goalscoring race in the Brazilian Serie A with 18 scored goals in 35 games. He was 5 goals ahead of the second in the table, the former Milan player Ricardo Oliveira who's scored 13 goals.
The ex Benfica forward, who's found serenity and continuity in his mother club, won't play the last Santos game and said farewell to the club with his goal scored against Altetico Mineiro.
"I don't know if that's a goodbye - has he said at the end of the game, reported by Globo Esporte-, but what's sure is that it's really been emotional to score this goal. I'm home here, I only need to work and cheer for my teammates. If it's a goodbye, I want to say I'm really proud of what I've achieved, I want to thank the fans".
