Giacomo Bonaventura left for the United States this past weekend as he will undergo surgery in Pittsburgh on his knee. Bonaventura will be operated on tomorrow according to Sky Sport. After the surgery the midfielder will begin his long road to recovery, which will keep him out for the rest of this season.
His return to the squad is in fact expected to be during the preseason retreat before next season.
