Samp-Fiorentina, swap deal not moving forward for Praet and Benassi

Sampdoria and Fiorentina were working on a swap deal that would send Marco Benassi to Samp in exchange for Dennis Praet. Sampdoria requested a cash payment to meet the midfielder's valuation, and the sides were not far from agreement, though the deal did not get off the ground. The barrier, in fact, is over Praet's willingness to move to Fiorentina: unless he is to receive an offer from a big club, his preference is to remain at Sampdoria if he remains in Serie A.
