Today was supposed to be the day for the medical and the signatures, but Mattia Perin’s move to Benfica has now stalled. The Juventus keeper took the physical tests today and according to the Portuguese club, he’ll need more time to recuperate thatn expected.
The negotiation has now stalled. Benfica would like to change the terms of the deal from a straight sale to a loan with option to buy that would vest after a certain amount of games played. But while the two clubs were discussing, Benfica issued an official announcement that surprised Juventus. Benfica’s president apologized and the two clubs will resume talks tomorrow.
In the meantime Perin stayed in Portugal since Porto asked for more information following today’s developments, but at moment the negotiation with Benfica has stalled.
