Roma midfielder Jordan Veretout spoke with Eurosport France on the eventual restart of the Serie A season amid the coronavirus outbreak.
"It's obvious that we need to stay attentive. We're anxious to restart but we must not play with our health, this is the most important thing. It'll take a few weeks to start again with the squad, but we will be able to play. Matches without fans? I already played a match behind closed doors when I was with Saint-Etienne against Nantes. It was difficult to enter a match like that. You have the feeling that it's more like a training session than a league match."
On his first season with Roma: "Fonseca is a great manager. He has a lot of charisma, everyone listens to him. He's very strong on the pitch. We've noticed that we've made a lot of errors this season. Every day, during training, he tries to make us improve. The entire team is getting better and I hope that it continues. He's a manager that wants to score goals, impose the offensive side of the game. There was a period in which we were not as well and he was able to make us a group. HIs behavior is a strength. You always feel the presence of Francesco Totti at Roma, even now when he plays pick-up matches. You could even play a Monday match at 21.00, the stadium would always be full for him. We see different videos with his goals. I'd like to meet him and Daniele De Rossi. I missed it by a year, he's a legend like Totti. I'd have liked to play with teammates like that."
