The Coronavirus pandemic put a stop to Alessandro Florenzi's experience playing in Spain after his loan move in January. The Italian international discussed his decision to leave Roma to join Valencia in a recent interview with Sky Sport 24:"I always wanted to have an experience abroad, but I didn't know when, then the Valencia opportunity came after I spoke to Fonseca about his ideas. He expressed his thoughts and we took this decision that benefitted everyone. I called Mancini to explain this in light of the Euro and he was very open. He said he didn't care where it was, but the important thing was that I play"
Florenzi gave more details about his discussion with Fonseca:"He was very clear, he's one of the best managers I ever had. The problem is that I wasn't suited for a particular role. I have a great relationship with him and he told me that he wasn't sure how much playing time I would have until the end of the season"
