Andrea Pirlo is ready to get back on the football pitch for the last time, as he will retire from football with a special game on the 21st of May at San Siro. What the midfield maestro will do next is still uncertain, as he reveals to La Gazzetta dello Sport: "I haven't thought about it yet, I will start the course for the coaching license because it may come in handy in the future. Working with Conte made me want to become a coach though", Pirlo said. The ex-New York City player also remebered the most important steps in his career: "I have spent ten wonderful years at Milan, it has been the happiest time of my life, we managed to win everything. The first Champions League with Milan was the most beautiful and emotional. Ancelotti? He has been the coach for most of my career, he is like a second father to me and for many other former Milan teammates. Istanbul? The disappointment is still there after so many years. I also thought about retiring from football, but then I kept going and luckily we got our revenge. Allegri? He is a great coach and he always tries to give his best to the team. Sometimes they play well, some others they don't, but in the end the final result is what matters the most. Gattuso? He gave a sense of belonging to Milan and I'm happy for him", Pirlo concluded.
