Carlo Ancelotti has been considered by many the main "summer signing" for Napoli and the results have proven that to be right so far. The man who chose him, president Aurelio De Laurentiis, discussed his relationship with the coach in an interview with Corriere dello Sport: "We had been in contact for years, sometimes he enquired about our players and sometimes we enquired him about some of his players. I was impressed by his balance and his good manners, since he did not insist when he knew that there was no room to open talks for a player. He was in Ischia the other day and I received an enthusiastic call from him. He said: "Aurelio I could even stay here for six years". He doesn't get offended if I talk about football with him. I called him the day of the Liverpool game".
De Laurentiis also talked about Ancelotti's predecessor Sarri, now at Chelsea: "Three yeas ago I believed I had met a coach that would have stayed here for a long time and I could have kept him, he had two years left on his contract. But we got to the point that it was only about the money".
