After the World Cup title conquered with France a few months ago in Russia, he's received the best coach award by FIFA. Didier Deschamps is enjoying the moment, paying complements to the two teams that allowed him to lift the most important trophy he won in both his player and managerial careers.

"The happiness is the same, there's nothing more beautiful in football. In 98, we won at home, this year we realized how people were euphoric when we got home. The 97 World Cup may have inspired me for some of the functional aspects of the group, but the world 20 years ago was really different" has told Deschamps to La Gazzetta dello Sport. "We're talking about two different teams who have been to be the strongest at the right time to win a World Cup. Mbappé? Different player, different qualities. One thing is sure though, Mbappé is a fuoriclasse, he's young. He deserves the Ballon d'Or, so do Griezmann and Varane".

The French national head coach then talks about Pogba: "He's always the same player and is one of the best midfielders in the world. A return to Juve? Dreams are part of life and they sometimes come true. But respect to a few years ago, Juve would have to spend a lot more to buy Pogba. The Bianconeri have gotten back to the top in Italy and in Europe, winning the Champions League is like winning a World Cup. With Ronaldo, Juve assured they would have a player decisive in the important moments, he's always been and will keep working to be like that, despite the age. He's a great professional".

Deschamps has also talked about Buffon: "We're talking about not only a splendid person, who can transmit a lot to the younger players, but also about a great champion who can be useful for an ambitious team like PSG. You only need to see how hard he works to stay on top. Maybe after so many years at Juve he needed new stimuli. And Paris is a nice city to live in".
