The UEFA Football Board was established as a council composed of football personalities to improve the sport. Jose Mourinho was among them, but the Roma manager has resigned from this position.
Mourinho sent an email to Boban to decline his offer to participate: "Dear Mr. Boban, I thank you for the invite to form part of the UEFA Football Board. I regret to inform you that with immediate effect, I will not participate in this group."
"The conditions that I strongly believed existed when I joined no longer exist and I feel obligated to make this decision. I ask you to communicate my decision to President Aleksander Ceferin."
This decision follows the four game suspension received by Mourinho from UEFA after his actions following the UEFA Europa League Final.
