Manchester City are preparing a bid for West Ham United’s Declan Rice.
The Citizens are set to join the race alongside Arsenal, who have already seen two bids rejected for the 24-year-old.
According to our information, Man City currently want to offer £75 million in two instalments plus £15 million in add-ons, which are thought to be realistically achievable.
This is understood to be a better overall package than Arsenal’s previous bid that was rejected, who offered the same amount of money but in five instalments and less achievable bonuses.
Arsenal are prepared to bid again for their number one target, but Man City are willing to go toe-to-toe following the imminent departure of Ilkay Gündogan to Barcelona, with Kalvin Phillips also likely to depart this summer.
Rice’s contract at West Ham expires in 2024, but includes an option to extend for a further season.
The England international has gone on to make 245 appearances for West Ham since making his debut in 2017.
