Milan President Paolo Scaroni spoke on rumors that the team will be leaving San Siro to build a new stadium.
"I want you all to understand a logical path, which Inter and Milan are following. To win in the world of football you need good players, who are expensive and worth their salaries. To get good players you need to make profits, because with the FFP you can't be the person to open their wallet and buy everything anymore. In Italian football our revenues are at stake. At Milan last year, we had a turnover of 203 million euros, the same as 2003. In the meantime, Real and Manchester United are nearing a billion euros. The path they've followed is tied to a modern stadium made for families. We need to follow the same course that others followed 15 years before us, in a stadium where you can eat, shop, and be with your family.
"Inter and Milan are allies for this project. We're moving forward for a new stadium that's modern and efficient for the squads. If they tell us to not touch anything, we're leaving."
