Sampdoria President Massimo Ferrero spoke on the rumors that he is selling the team, a topic that has been surrounding him and the club for some time.
"I thought that I was an expert in cinema, but you all are better than me: this is great fiction. What do you want to happen today? Nothing! Today I'm meeting with the Board of Directors to get a budget requested by UEFA approved. I'm going there to sign it. What we sign will be published soon after, so you'll all see everything that happens today."
"I do want to say one thing: I'm very happy that Sampdoria is coveted by industrial groups and big international entreprenuers. It means that I've worked very well. You all continue to make up this story, while I go to work instead. I don't have time to lose: Genoa is a marvelous city and I love this city. Maybe, though, tomorrow or in two, three or four years someone will bring a serious offer and not these jokes, something will happen. Work, work, and a little chat. Without money you can't sing mass."
