The award for best player in the Africa Cup and a transfer to a top team, the summer was certainly special for Ismael Bennacer but since arriving at Milan, the Algerian midfielder has been alternated with Lucas Biglia in the starting lineup. Bennacer described their relationship during an interview with Sky Sport:”He’s a great player, I can learn a lot from him. He’s 33 years old so he has a lot of experience: he always knows what to do: with or without the ball. We aren’t the same and that is a good thing because we can offer different solutions. I didn’t suffer the benching, on a big team it works this way. I just arrived and I need to practice a lot”
Bennacer was asked about the upcoming derby:”The one with Inter is the most important, although for us it’s worth three points. Everyone would like to play in it. Are they the favorites? Too soon to say, we’ll see on the pitch. We want to win since it’s the first big test against a top team”.
