Juventus director of football Fabio Paratici spoke to Sky Sport a few minutes before the game between the Bianconeri and Milan. Paratici discussed the goalscoring potential of Sarri's team and also touched upon the contract extension of one of the players that were revitilized by the arrivale of the former Chelsea coach: "Sometimesit's not easy to analyse the stats during a season. Higuain? He is playing very well, he is in the top three of the best centre forwards in the world. He is doing what we expect from him, we are very happy. He is a good guy and a great footballer, he has to keep it going. Last summer we had several opportunities, both outgoing and incoming, Higuain wanted to stay, we talked about that profusely. The last season that he was here at the club, he wasn't so self confidente, hence his decision to go to Milan. This season he was very determined to stay and together we decided to carry on together"
Finally, Paratici discussed Cuadrado's renewal, as the Colombian's current deal is to expire in June 2020. The parties are currently in talks for an extension through 2022, with the option to add an additional year, and a positive resolution seems to be imminent as revealed by Paratici: "[The deal] is not finalized yet, but we are very close".
