Roma's three-games winning streak in Serie A was snapped by Parma, as the Giallorossi succumbed by the hand of the Gialloblu with the goals of Sprocati and Cornelius. Coach Paulo Fonseca discussed the performance of his team during the post-match interview with Sky Sport: "Obviously the team is tired, it's not a matter of attitude. We don't have the pace that is required to win games like these. Parma was dangerous on the counter, we took some risks in order to try and win this game, but it didn't work out. The team felt the fatigue, we were not quick enough to react and think, it was a tough game against a strong team that deserved the win".
The Portoguese coach then touched upon Edin Dzeko's performance and the injuy situation: "Dzeko? We had very few chances to score today, because we played against a side that defended very deep and we struggled. However, Edin is doing a lot of work for the team, the fact that he didn't score it's just a coincidence. Injuries? I hope that some players will be available after the international break. Mkhitaryan will be for sure, and I hope Pellegrini will too. The break comes at the right time, we played many games with the same players as we didn't have the possibility to make changes".
