Leonardo Bonucci has been proving to be one of the best defenders in world football however unfortunately his son had been quite ill and the Italian had at one point thought about quitting football to be closer to his family. Now, Bonucci has found new strength within him thanks to the happiness of his sons, his little one Matteo in particular. Here is what the Juve man had to say about this dark period: "(While his son was ill) In those few weeks the idea of abandoning football grazed me, I had completely forgotten about work. I simply couldn't do it. My wife Martina helped me through it, with her determination, an energy which nearly crosses the line of being headstrong. She convinced me to marry her, despite our love not being love at first sight she gave me stability, she's always taken me out of the well after every fall, like when I found myself as an innocent man involved in the calcioscomesse trial. Martina has taught me to be proud of myself in good and bad. I've understood that in pain all families are alike".
