Roma targeting El Ghazi, contact underway with agent Jorge Mendes

Anwar El Ghazi is joining Papu Gomez at the top of the wish list for Roma's sporting director Frederic Massara, who is looking to solidify the position being vacated by Mohamed Salah during the Africa Cup. Milan followed the 1995-born Ajax winger in the last window, and now it's Roma who are intensifying their contact with El Ghazi's agent, Jorge Mendes. The initial request for El Ghazi is €12m, but the player, who after having some problems with the first team coach and being placed in the Ajax 'B' team is now back in the first team, is keen on a move to Italy and has already turned down a chance to join Lille. The conversations have started and Anwar El Ghazi is a target for Roma.
