Following the disappointing elimination in the Champions League against Ajax last Tuesday, Juventus are getting ready to face Fiorentina in a match that will very likely clinch their eight scudetto in a row. The bianconeri’s manager Massimiliano Allegri discussed the team’s state of mind:”Luckily tomorrow we have the chance to close out the scudetto, and we must close it. The elimination must be accepted, you can’t go back. First of all we must celebrate: a scudetto must be always celebrated. The season is still a great season. We still have prestigious matches, we can’t be embarrassed when we play”
Allegri also looked forward while also reflecting on Tuesday night:”After the scudetto we’ll plan the future: as always with lucidity. Football goes on. Every season Juventus plays to win every competition. We arrived to the quarterfinals not in the best condition: we lost and rightfully went home”
Allegri gave an update on a few key players:”Perin and Khedira need surgery, it’s unlikely we’ll have Mandzukic back, Dybala is out for twenty days, Douglas Costa for ten. Cuadrado will start tomorrow. Chiellini could return against Inter. Ronaldo is Juve’s future, he did very well this season and will do very well next season”.
