After a negative spell of results, Roma seem to have turned things around in the last few game, as the team keep pushing to clinch a crucial Champions League spot. The Giallorossi's ambition to return to European football will be tested on Saturday night at San Siro, where Ranieri's side will face another Champions League contender: Inter.

Roma's coach Claudio Ranieri discussed his past at the Nerazzurri and his future in the pre-match press conference: "My future? It's not for me to say. I know what I have to do right now, that is finishing as high as possible in the table with Roma. After that, it's not me that does the planning for the future. Iim doing my job for the rest of the season, then we will see what are the president ideas, and if we will reach Champions League or not. Returning to San Siro won't get me emotional, but coaching Roma does. I am a fan of this club and I'm proud of being it. It will be an interesting game for the Champions League race but we don't have to be afraid. A loss in San Siro wouldn't change our mood, while a win would give us real impetus. The boys trained well and I will decide the line-up on Friday night. Zaniolo? He is not enjoying his best moment right now, I will have to make my decisions carefully".

Ranieri was then asked about Spalletti and Inter: "I can't make an evaluation of Spalletti's work so far. Our job is a great one but also a very difficult one. There are many differences between Rome and Milan. At Inter I didn't have much time to know the enivronment and I was also ulucky because they sold the likes of Thiago Motta and Coutinho when I was there. When those two players were there Inter were bouncing back after a rough start, but then when Motta decided to leave for PSG the team slowed down", conluded Ranieri.
