Matías Vecino's injury should be less serious than it was expected. The Uruguayan midfielder felt pain in the posterior part of his right thigh with his national team and didn't play, as a precaution, against Japan.
As was reported by Sky Sport, the precautional stop has avoided ulterior problems that could have put the player on the side for a lot of days. This morning, Vecino has underwent tests that have shown no further exams were needed. The injury isn't about a lesion or an important muscular problem but just a fatigue that will be monitored day by day.
His presence for the derby still sin't guaranteed and he'll be evaluated but he should be back for the Champions League game against Barcelona, at Camp Nou, on October 24th.
