Inter grabs a second victory in a row with a Candreva goal that sealed the deal against Sassuolo. More reasons to smile for Pioli and his team, as Inter gets closer to a Europa League qualification spot. The coach spoke to Sky Sport after the game:
“I’m happy we managed to win away from home, it’s been a while since it happened. If we look at the Europa League, this is our third victory in a row, so we’re obviously on track. Despite the fact that we’re playing in tough mental conditions, our growth will continue from here on out. Icardi? I think he worked really well for the team, we need to do a better job of supporting him”.
A final comment on the Jovetic situation: “I make my decisions for the good of the team, and today I decided to give trust to those who I thought were more concentrated on the game. We have too many players; we need to make use of the transfer market to lighten up the squad. I’m sure we’ll also make some purchases, though”.
