Former PSG manager Blanc: "Napoli - PSG will be a spectacular game. I'd like to coach a team in Italy"

He's started in Italy with Claudio Ranieri's Napoli, but his career in Italy, as a player, has mostly been about Inter. Laurent Blanc has also been PSG's coach and has won three Ligue 1 and three Coupe de la Ligue with the French side. He's been the only coach who got PSG in the quarter finals, an objective which isn't a sure thing for Tuchel's team before this evening clash against Napoli at San Paolo: "It will be a difficult game - has he told La Gazzetta dello Sport - It's a complicated group with Liverpool and Napoli, it's not abnormal for PSG to be in this difficult position".

About the difference of level between the French league and the Champions League: "PSG could be paying the fact of dominating easily in France. In the Champions League, every detail matters, you need to be perfect in the technical, physical and tactical aspects".

About Cavani: "His qualities can't be discussed. He could make the difference, even in front of his former fans. It's important that the coach makes him feel good, in his place. It's evident he doesn't have the same playing style than Mbappé and Neymar. Are they compatible? Depends on the players' will".

Buffon will return to the Champions League at San Paolo: "Gigi is a great professional. PSG are lucky to have him, to see Areola grow too. Verratti? He's still an exceptional player, the injuries have blocked his growth in the past few years though. I then think he needs someone like Thiago Motta to exalt his qualities".

"Ancelotti has succeed in improving a team that was playing well for a few years now. Napoli have a precise idea of how they want to play, they start from their goalkeeper to get to Insigne and Mertens, the number 1 dangers. PSG like to dominate with the ball, when they have to suffer they have difficulties. Italian football has changed. After the 90s, Calcio ended up in a tunnel and they're now getting out of it, without giving up their tactical culture but adding an offensive and creative mentality. My future in Italy? I have a great relationship with Serie A, I'm ready to listen to ambitious offers. I'd like to do it in Italy, a country I like".
