On the eve of the Champions League clash between Juventus-Manchester United, José Mourinho presented the challenge in a press conference.
"The last match against Juventus has been corrected. We were fantastic from the disciplinary point of view. There was education before and after the game. Juventus has done its job, and the same with us since then. The gesture of the three fingers? Without any justification at the end of the match, their fans were disrespectful, and I thought to make the three-finger gesture. Which is why they challenged me.
"I have a very good relationship with Juventus and Allegri; tomorrow is a big match, It's big enough to just think about the match against Juventus and not what comes after. It's a crucial match for us. We want to compete and we want to win. I think the best experience a team can get is against the top teams and tomorrow we have that. They are a top class opponent."
"We always work to get the most of the football, it is a match that lasts more than 90'. When an opponent is strong and are given an advantage, it becomes like a mountain - it is difficult to climb. We did not do well to climb in the first leg, now we have to try again".
"We worked a lot on many aspects: defensive organization, attacking game. Many teams do it. The problem is that sometimes we suffer a bit too much, and this means that there are weaknesses. I think we need to focus as much as possible on tomorrows match."
"Pogba? The press says we have a bad relationship. Paul said it is a normal coach-player relationship. I say it's a good coach-player relationship. Because sometimes this kind of relationship is not good, and it's not our case".
