Fiorentina, Ribery makes contact with linesman, risking significant suspension

Frank Ribery had a night to forget as Fiorentina fell to Lazio in controvertial fashion. After demonstratively leaving the pitch in the 74' minute after being substituted out by Montella, later in the match there was an incident where it appeared that Ribery made contact with referee's assistant Matteo Passeri. The reaction stemmed from a foul called on Sottil, which led to Immobile's deciding goal. Ribery appeared to push the linesman, and was sent off by the referee Marco Guida likely for comments shouted from the bench during the protestations. He now faces a significant suspension as a result of these actions.
