Genoa have always believed in Christian Kouame regardless of if he plays well or not. There's a long term project for the 21 year old Ivoryan striker as demonstrated by the fact Preziosi's club has turned down big offers from clubs like Napoli.
So far this season Kouame has scored four goals in eight matches, three of these were decisive. Genoa has decided to reward the former Cittadella striker with a raise bringing his salary to €1 million after taxes a season, after reaching an agreement in principle with his agent Michelangelo Minieri last August. The contract's length remained unchanged and will expire in 2023.
