Fiorentina's owner Rocco Commisso have a clear idea for the future of the club, both on and off the pitch. In an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, Commisso revealed his plans for the short and long-term future of the Viola: "I want to build an even better team. I will do that even if I won't be able to build the new stadium shortly. I want a club that players can consider as a starting point and not as an end point. Many young players, such as Milenkovic, Vlahovic, Dragowski, Sottil, Castrovilli and others, have already decided to committ to our project".
Commisso then touched upon arguably the star of the Viola's squad, Federico Chiesa: "The decision is up to him. If he aked to leave we would grant his wish, but only for the right price. Lautaro Martinez has a 111-million release clause? Well, then I could make a one-million discount on that. I'm joking, but it has to be the right price. Chiesa knows Fiorentina, he knows Rocco and knows what he would have here in Florence. I dont' know if he will leave or not. We have not put any veto to selling him to certain clubs. However, at the moment the relationship with Federico and his father is excellent", concluded Commisso.
