There's a strong desire to get back to some normalcy by putting cleats in and getting back to the pitch. The Italian national team manager Roberto Mancini discussed the role football will play in the near future:"Obviously health comes before everything else, but football wasn't that impacted by the virus. There are few cases, we haven't gotten to twenty in Serie A including staff. In my opinion contact sport isn't dangerous by looking at the numbers. Should the football industry collapse then it would be hard for everyone. The discussions? I lived through numerous phases of football and in the past when we had different opinions we then decided a common vision all together"
Mancini was asked about the impact of the pandemic on national team:"Less time for us? At this moment my concern is that football start over, my Italy is solid and based on so,e structural certainties. There's as positive side too, some players will improve and we'll have Zaniolo available, I'm confident".
