After a good start to the season in Serie A, Torino and defender Kevin Bonifazi have started talks for a contract extension. The former SPAL centre-back, has already scored two goals this campaign and has gone up in Mazzarri's pecking order, especially after the situation involving Nkolou and Lyanco's injury.
The club's intention is to extend the 23-year-old contract and the negotiations are ongoing, but the parties will have to hold more meetings before putting to paper on a new deal. The current contract is due to expire in 2022, with the parties currently working on an extension through 2023 or 2024.
