In an Interview with La Stampa, Chiellini opened himself up by discussing several topics. The most anticipated discussion point: the upcoming fixture against Inter:
“Perhaps the rivalry with Inter was more intense in the first years after all the football scandals. For those who played those games, this can’t be a normal match. Inter is making a comeback, so they can’t hide out anymore. Their squad has to aim for a title, and they’ve been proving it the past few months with Pioli. Playing for Inter? Something you can’t even mention”.
Chiellini has always had his work cut out against Inter, but who were the hardest men to mark? : “Milito was exceptional. Maybe Ibra determines the balance of games, but in terms of movements inside the box Milito was the best. He could change directions with both feet, it was almost impossible to predict. Icardi? A fantastic striker: He has goal-scoring in his blood”.
