Chelsea: the club statement on Hudson-Odoi's injury

In the match against Burnley yesterday, Chelsea's Callum Hudson-Odoi needed to be replaced in the 41' due to injury. A concern for the club and fans, an update and official statement has now been released: In regards to Callum's injury, he is seeing a specialist this afternoon and is expected to undergo surgery on his ruptured Achilles tendon this evening. This comes as unfortunate news considering the form the youngster has been in for Chelsea this season: he has scored five goals since making his debut for the Blues at the beginning of the season; yesterday was his 28th appearance.
