After Monchi’s departure a few weeks ago, Roma continue to ponder options at the sporting director position. This week Frederic Massara travelled to Boston to meet with president James Pallotta and his close advisor Franco Baldini, while a final decision has yet to be made it appears rather likely that Massara will continue to be part of the giallorossi’s management team, but the specific role remains undetermined.
Massara could replace Monchi altogether or work side by side with Lille’s sporting director Campos, as an alternative Roma could bring in Torino’s current sporting director Petrachi with Massara in charge of scouting. The final decision will be made in the coming days, in the meantime Massara has returned to Trigoria.
