After his first month and a half as Inter's coach, Frank de Boer spoke about the emotions he felt on his first day. The Dutch manager was recently interviewed by Nos: "It was a tough time to start. I took the place of an Italian coach. You immediately feel the pressure. A different feeling: one that makes you looks at things with your mouth wide open. You can't come here like a bull in a china shop. Italy became world champions in 2006, and now this crazy Dutch man is coming here to tell us how to do things...that's why I take things one step at a time."
"Here they are really winners - de Boer continued - it's not that at Ajax I had to push my players to do things, but at Inter, even in a small match the guys have a lot of fun, meanwhile at Ajax it was always ‘Ugh, we have to do this?' Here, they do it with great conviction. Our game? We can be better at positional play, but when we're under pressure and have to move the ball, the guys are very good at that."
